The ideally coordinated composition of low- to high-molecular hyaluronic acid types creates an intensive, immediate, and long-lasting moisturizing effect and strengthening of the body's own hydration mechanisms through its covered size spectrum. Very low-molecular hyaluronic acid penetrates deep into the skin and promotes moisture absorption and binding on different epidermal levels, improving skin elasticity and firmness. Medium- and high-molecular hyaluronic acids ensure immediate hydration of the epidermis and form a moisturizing film on the skin surface. This makes the skin appear immediately plumper and protects it from moisture loss through evaporation and other osmotic processes. Moisture is stored long-term in the skin, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) is reduced, and the balance of moisture content is sustainably optimized.
The contained polyglutamic acid (0.5%), also known as PGA, is a natural polymer obtained through a biotechnological process by fermenting soybeans. It is distinguished by its exceptional effect as a moisturizing agent in the skin. Polyglutamic acid forms a protective film on the skin surface to minimize moisture loss and increase the skin's ability to store moisture (depot effect). Due to these water-binding properties, PGA, as proven in scientific studies, can store up to four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid. This makes the skin appear immediately smoother and more elastic. Furthermore, PGA can inhibit the activity of the enzyme hyaluronidase, which reduces the natural hyaluronic acid content, thus stabilizing and increasing the hyaluronic acid content in the skin.
